Some Exciting News from Paradise Planning!

Some very exciting news to share with our fans, friends, clients, past, present and future!  Guess what happened to me a month ago….on December 9, 2016?

I GOT ENGAGED!  Yes, that’s correct….I am a bride-to-be!

Here is how it happened….

Every year my fiance, Jason and I (wow, still so strange to type that word out!)  have photos taken for our holiday cards that we send to friends and family  He suggested we stop to do some photos at the beach to take some photos of just the two of us without our dogs.  At one point I turned around and there he was, getting down on his knee.  The words that came out of my mouth are not appropriate to type (hey, I was SHOCKED!) and then after catching my breath, I said YES!

You will see by the photos, I was completely caught off guard by Jason.  Good job, Babe!

Many may think “oh she does this all the time, it will be easy for her to get her wedding planned!” To some extent, yes, that is a true statement.  I have planned close to 100 weddings in the past 5 years.  BUT this is a little different.  Just a little bit!

I debated sharing this news in a public way with my business followers, mainly my clients, but then I realized, hey guys and gals, you know what?  I now GET IT just a little bit more than I did before!

I understand all of the emotions that happen when you are asked to spend the rest of your life with the one that you love and that special piece of jewelry is popped on your finger.  It’s amazing and wonderful and so exciting!

I understand the questioning from friends and family members.  If you think that you have been asked a lot of questions, imagine being a wedding planner…EVERYONE asks questions…parents, friends, clients, vendors, people that I meet at dinner…EVERYONE!

I understand the nervousness of planning a day that reflects the two of you and your love story.   That’s right…I’m nervous.  I said it.

I understand coming up with a guest list (probably the toughest thing so far in our planning process!) My fiance and I have a LOT of friends and family.  We are so blessed.

I understand figuring out a reasonable budget.  Budget, budget, budget.

The last month of my life has been truly amazing…the love that Jason and I have felt from our friends and family  has been overwhelming and so greatly appreciated!

There are many details that are up in the air but I promise to document my planning process on this blog, Facebook and Instagram.  Be sure to start following!

For those of you that want to follow me, I welcome you and say, let’s enjoy this journey together!

PS…thank you to Lindsay Vann Photography for being a part of this special day!
