A Beautiful Wedding on St. Thomas~Shannon and Luke-July 12, 2014

Shannon and Luke were married on July 12, 2014. They were joined by close to 100 of their closest friends and family from around the country. The groom grew up on St. Thomas and the bride lived there as well so many guests were from St. Thomas and St. John.

Shannon’s dress was stunning, along with the gorgeous bridesmaids’ dresses all in different soft, pastel colors. East End Flowers Shop of St. Thomas created Shannon’s breathtaking bouquet of peonies along with the gorgeous bridesmaids’ bouquets of white hydrangeas with a burlap and lace wrap.

Before the Ceremony, Shannon and Luke had their “First Look” at the Old Stone Farmhouse as well as Magen’s Bay. They were joined by their Bridal Party of fifteen plus two-their adorable dogs, Harley and Doak!

The Ceremony took place at Picara Point, located in Peterborg on St. Thomas at sunset. Their guests were entertained during and after the Ceremony by the wonderful Andrew on Steel Pan and all were served a signature cocktail in engraved mason jars.

After the Ceremony, guests were brought to Secret Garden, a gorgeous villa located a short distance away in Peterborg. Instead of a standard guest book, Shannon and Luke chose a map of the Virgin Islands for their guests to sign. Also on their Welcome Table was a time capsule for guests to leave words of wisdom for the Newlyweds, who will open the time capsule on their one year anniversary. The villa was beautifully decorated with photos of the happy couple, along with several beautiful lanterns and other fun décor items that Shannon chose.

Shannon and Luke’s beautiful (and delicious) wedding cake was created by Island Sweet Stuff on St. Thomas.

The happy couple’s first dance was to Van Morrison’s “Into the Mystic”. Throughout the evening, guests dined on delicious food from Passionfruit Chefs and danced the night away to the tunes of The Ish, from St. John.
